چکیده

Serial 3 orthogonal lead electrocardiograms were recorded on 67 patients with acute myocardial infarction. For each series of electrocardiograms, the day to day changes and the changes with respect to the initial computer measurements of selected ST-T segment amplitudes and vector orientations were investigated. The results indicated that the degree of rotation of ST-T vectors, which corresponded with a report of sequential change by a panel of cardiologists, was outside the upper limit of normal day to day variation. From the results, diagnostic criteria for use in the automated detection of sequential electrocardiographic changes after myocardial infarction were established.

QT-Dispersion as a potential marker in prognosis of acute myocardial infarction

Introduction: QT dispersion in a 12 lead ECG represents the heterogeneity of ventricular repolarization. The prolongation of QT-interval dispersion increases the risk of coronary heart disease, ventricular arrhythmia, and sudden cardiac death in patients with myocardial infarction. We aimed to investigate the prognostic value of QT-dispersion in patients with acute myocardial infarction. Meth...

SERUM IgE AND BETA 2 MICROGLOBULIN LEVELS AFTER MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION

Serum IgE and beta 2 microglobulin levels were determined in 31 patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction and 30 patients with other forms of ischemic heart disease. The levels of these parameters were studied on the first, third and seventh day after the onset of disease. The immunological method used for the determinations was ELISA Patients with myocardial infarction showed an...

Correlation of Early and Late Ejection Fractions with CCL5 and CCL18 Levels in Acute Anterior Myocardial Infarction

Background: Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) is the leading cause of disability and death in Iran and many other countries. Objective: To investigate the prognostic value of CCL5 and CCL18 in patients with acute myocardial ischemia. Methods: In this cohort study we recruited and followed 50 patients with acute anterior myocardial infarction (AAMI) for developing cardiovascular accidents in a ...

The relation of ST segment deviations in 12-lead conventional Electrocardiogram, right and posterior leadswith the site of oc-clusion in acute inferior myocardial infarction

Background :In addition to diagnosing the acute myocardial infarction (MI), stratifying high-risk patients and proper treatment strategies are important issues in managing patients complaining of chest pain and suspecting MI. Many studies have been conducted to predict the occlusion site by interpreting the ST segment deviations in Electrocardiogram (ECG).Additional posterior and right precor...

Comparison between scalar and corrected orthogonal electrocardiogram in diagnosis of acute myocardial infarcts.

Twelve-lead electrocardiograms and orthogonal electrocardiograms taken with Frank's corrected orthogonal lead system have been compared in 259 patients with recent myocardial infarction. In the scalar electrocardiograms a diagnostic recognition rate of 62 per cent was recorded. QIRratios > 0O2I in X lead, > o 22 in Y lead, and I -20 in Z lead were used as signs of myocardial infarctio...
